About me

My name is Anna Laufey.

I am a computer scientist, app developer, mother of three and yes, I must admit, a smartphone addict.

I have been working an an app developer for a decade, which has given me valuable insight into how technology affects our daily lives and how it shapes our communication and habits.

As a mother, I have closely observed how smart devices and social media affect my children's mental well-being, daily life, and development.

As a smartphone addict myself, I have had to take various measures to regain the attention and time I had previously spent on social media, phone games and news media.

Today I give lectures for parents, children and company employees where I discuss the effects of smart devices and social media, primarily on children and teenagers, but also on adults and society as a whole.

I believe it is more important than ever that we, as a society, take back control of our lives, reclaim our time and protect our attention from the constant stimulation of technology.

Digital Wellness for the Anxious Generation
Parent lecture

Parents are facing more challenges than ever when it comes to setting rules and setting boundaries regarding their children's use of smart devices and social media.

There is a lot of pressure on parents today, and whether they allow their child to have smart devices and social media or not, they are playing the role of the "bad guy".

In this lecture, the impact of smart devices and social media on children today will be discussed in detail, what consequences this use can have on their health and development, and what resources and solutions are available to create a healthy balance in children's technology use.

The lectures are suitable for all parents' associations, libraries, conferences and sports clubs.

In the Classroom

Children, the Internet and Social Media
School visits

Today's children are growing up in a digital environment that is completely different from what previous generations knew. In this lecture, I visit schools and talk with students about important topics such as algorithms, artificial intelligence, social media influencers, video games and logical thinking.

The goal is to make students think about how technology and social media affect their daily lives, and help them realise how they can be conscious users.

We also cover the pros and cons of technology, cancel culture, how advertises affect us and how fake news spreads.

These lectures are tailored for all ages of school children and young adults.

 Young Woman Contemplating

Digital Distractions in the Workplace Company lecture

Employees increasingly find it difficult to concentrate at work, and many struggle with symptoms of burnout.

Bosses are increasingly complaining that staff are glued to their phones and social media during work hours, and where there used to be lively conversations in the cafeteria, most are now sitting in their corners staring at screens.

In this lecture, we will discuss technological stimuli, the effects of multitasking, and how remote work and smart devices can disrupt the boundaries between work and private life. The lecture is designed to provide both employees and managers with insight into ways to regain focus, improve work habits and create a healthier work environment. Resources and solutions to balance technology use and promote improved health and well-being will also be discussed.

This lecture is suitable for companies of all sizes and types.
